Ideal Logic Plus 30 - price and quality?

If the comments were ignorant then you would have countered with a reason as to why. It's a poor discussion technique to simply dismiss and something done when someone has no resonable argument.

With 40000 odd posts it seems you spend more time on here than you do out in the field buddy...

I've no axe to grind only a wish to see customers well informed.

By the way I think it's pretty ignorant to use your phone whilst driving.

I just wish I knew what Dan has forgotten

Why is this guy commenting on every 3 year old logic thread?
Obviously has an issue with Ideal and probably has a biased view against them because of it.

So can I ask after reading all of that.... Are the Ideal Logic 30kw condensing combis any good? I am only asking because I am getting a free one fitted under the nest scheme in 2 weeks. From what I can gather it isn't the plus version or I would assume he would have said that. The British Gas engineer said that he would fit one in his own home.
I have an old back boiler at the moment so anything has got to be better than that surely? ;)

As a generalisation, the economics of replacing a very reliable but inefficient back boiler with a potentially less reliable combi aren't good. But - as you are getting it done for free, it would be rude not to.

I don't think you have to worry too much about the boiler. But take note of what Agile keeps emphasizing - it must be fitted to a clean system. And I should guess that yours is very old and very dirty.

Make sure the installers thoroughly clean your system with a powerflush and then protect it with a Magnaclean or similar.

Good luck buddy.
