A leaked assessment of DT and his team, by a senior British ambassador, portrays the US president as an idiot. Surely no one is surprised by his brutally honest account?

Trump said seizing the airports helped in the American war of independence.

He then said it was a mistake because of the rain on the autocue but also said he knew the speech by heart.

The man is an idiot and it looks like Britain is about to elect a similar person.

    WTF is going on?

What is wrong with our gov that so many things are 'leaked', if any thing the story just confirms how useless and incompetent the people who are running the show here are.

I thought it was daddy's money that set him up?
And if you really want to buy yourself a beautiful wife, I hear these lovely ladies are available:

The ability to buy someone so they are interested in you is SUCH an attractive quality hey.

    Daddy left it to him.

His companies, including a casino, have been bankrupt four times.

It is reckoned he would be better off had he done nothing and just left Daddy's money in the bank.

That is a good question, least in the US about half the people actually want Trump, but here in the UK very very few people want Boris or Corbyn, and yet somehow that is the choice we are going to have. I honestly do not know of anyone out of friends and family that want either of these two. Somehow democracy is slipping away from us and we are increasingly controlled by a relatively small amount of party extremists.

Its happening in many countries. Broken electoral systems. Money and influence has corroded politics. Checks and balances have been dismantled. Power has been consolidated. A pliant and cooperative media. Trump is simply the most egregious example.

Helps if your father was a billionaire (in todays terms).

Having money doesnt exclude you from being an idiot.

Correct. How many time bankrupt? It takes some level of incompetence to blow the amounts of money that fool Trump has squandered.

If he simply invested his Daddys money in the stock market and reinvested returns he would be worth about $12bn today. His actual worth is far less at around $3-4bn.

Breathtaking incompetence having all that money bestowed upon him, only to go belly up 4 times.
