I cant be bothered reading the reams of pages but why would any one pay a monthly fee to anyone with the proviso that a £99 callout fee ("excess" will be applied.?

Because the monthly fee was £2 and my first call-out to them needed over 600 pounds of parts

Well just reading through this and what a joke, BG just love pushing for power flush's it seems their answer to everything, if BG are maintaining your system then it shouldn't get to this state, 2nd you have an old Halsted boiler on a gravity system the money you are paying to have this system maintained is wasted along with the gas you are wasting, Put the money into getting your system upgraded to a more efficient fully pumped system with new boiler Proberly save yourself £200/£300 on gas per year look for a boiler with a good long manufactures warranty & cancel any service contracts all you need is yearly service to keep up warranty.
