Labour coalition or Tory coalition?

OK a load of predictable replies.

BUT? at Westminster, in that parliament as I understand it the Marauding devilish SNP have NOT voted on any bill that is solely an English Only Bill.

This is a historical fact, but what will happen from now on?

Labour have relied on Scottish Lobby Fodder, what if? there is an SNP landslide [yet again]

Under the question posed by the late Lamented Tam Dalziel, the well argued West Lothian Question? [ why should Scots MPs at Westminster vote on what is a singularly English question ]

Given that there appears to be the potential for a hung Parliament @ Westminster there is a possibility that the two Main parties will have to actually agree on Policy? unheard of?

As for the recent rant by Cameron? who was spouting off about the remote possibility of the SNP actually having a say in what policies are passed at Westminster? HELLO Mr Cameron, do you realise with only ONE Conservative MP at Westminster the entire 23K Square miles of this country with how many million voters being subjected to the will of one.

Is there is any doubt that the rise and rise of UKIP [WHO SIMPLY DO NOT EXIST UP HERE?] and the SNP are on the rise.

Bottom line is going forward, if the SNP have a landslide win what will the remaining Westminster parties do about the West Lothian Question? given the SNP have not historically voted on such matters?

Have Fun All.

Guid point Ken. The West Lothian question, should have been resolved satisfactorily years ago. Had it been sorted out, I think there would be no point in the SNP even contemplating joining in with Labour to form a coalition governemnt.

Nicola Sturgeon today released the SNPee's manifesto. She says the SNP will represent UK wide interests. Why then on the front to the manifesto does it say "Stronger for Scotland"? Was she not one of these people who pressed for the recent referendum on devolution? How on earth this woman can reconcile this with wider UK interests I don't bloody know. I think she sees a likely outcome of the GE as a hung parliament again and wants to ensure she can get in bed with Milibland and his crew. Believe me, the SNP will not represent UK wide interests. They might be promising this at the moment, but we all know what politicians are like,, don't we?

Recent referendum was for independence, they have devolution already.

A couple of alternative ways to consider this:

If UK-wide interest is to wave the Scots goodbye, her statement works. (It is pretty self-evident that SNP believe that Scotland will be better off alone).

If she believes that Scotland is holding the rest of the UK back, and that both parties would be better off alone.....

No insult intended for any Scots here, but IMO Nicola Sturgeon is a menace willing to break up the UK for her own narrow ends.

I think the prospect of a self supported Conservative government is far higher than many of us imagine, those who remember the state our finances were in, when Labour were kicked out, will not want a repeat of the last five years caused mainly by the labour government. Now many people have managed their finances better and come out stronger despite the austerity, If our economy continues to grow jobs will outstrip labour supply, and employers will have to pay better rates to get the right people, this then gives a choice for those who are willing to work.

The main problem in this country is that there are three parts to the electorate. The largest part is the floating voter, who changes alliance to match the colour of his/her socks. These are the ones who forget the total stupidity of the loony left; the theft from the pension funds by a certain leftie chancellor etc etc etc. They are also the ones who do not realise that, despite severe financial constraints the current government dragged this country out of financial ruin and put it well on the road to recovery. True, it has meant reduced public services, bit this is (relatively) short-term. Provided that the loony left remain as also-rans, this country will continue to improve and be the envy of Europe!

There is a really good possibility that Westminster will be HAUNTED not by Nicola but by a Mr. Salmon, you may recall him?

He has been in that place [Westminster] on a previous occasion, and MAY be about to return? as a lurking probably volatile back bencher ?

Unfortunately, it seems that many voters fail to remember anything beyond the past five minutes.

As you say, anyone with an ounce of common sense would not dream of inviting Labour back to finish off the destruction of the country...

but they do!
