Labours scheme

Yeah, right.
Dishonest, disingenuous, duplicitous, fantasist.

Since Starmer took office there have been hundreds of suspensions from the party directed from the office of the general Secretary (Gaskin)

for his part (gaskin ) has suspended more than half the constituencies in the south west region for alleged anti Semitism or for demanding “ democracy “ ;)

he also prevented the Bath CLP from donating £3600 from the £1.3 million funds to food banks shortly before Christmas 2020

On the grounds that this was not campaigning

it was also Gaskin who lead the case against Ken Loach who was thrown out the party in August

:ROFLMAO:

Bland, boring, wishy-washy, non-committal, uninspiring dullards need only apply.

Hang is this the recruiting consultant?

Labour won a lot more seats than the Liberals or Greens.

What should the Liberals and Greens do to make themselves more electable?

It's a stupid premise.

Parties and candidates are supposed to state what they believe in and stand for and win or lose; not just state what they think the public will vote for next time round whatever that might be.

Johnson is popular - everyone be like Johnson.

no, politics is not that simplistic.

Politics not just about ideology, it’s also about getting the message across, and about strategy.

Corbyn simply didn’t connect with the red wall working class….Corbyn did connect with middle class metropolitan elite.

No, just a general observation.

I do not agree with the thinking that a party or a candidate "should say and do whatever it can to be elected".

If one team always do that…..the others will never get elected.

your argument has a mahoosive flaw

Not sure what you mean - exactly.

Do you mean that if the Conservatives pretend to be for the ordinary person and get elected then Labour has to pretend to be the same?

Do you mean being honest?

Do you mean being honest?

You are either not understanding or being deliberately obtuse.

You are dumbing down the argument to make it binary.

Let’s look at the reality of political campaigning and ideology:

1) Corbyn believes socialism is the solution to everybody having a better life

but

2) the British public won’t vote for socialism - certainly not in enough numbers to win.

so

3) a clever political leader has to find the electioneering arguments that will win the public around. So Corbyn could have dropped any reference to socialism and just argued the one of his policies was renationalising railways - which is known to be popular, but is still honest to Corbyns ideology.

For someone who regularly claims to have no interest in politics, what motivated you to bring this to the attention of the forum?
You certainly spend a lot of your time digging around for dirt on one political party, for someone who claims to have no interest in politics.
Is this another example of your duplicity?

You are dumbing down the argument to make it binary.
You are accepting dishonesty.

but
2) the British public won’t vote for socialism - certainly not in enough numbers to win.
They wouldn't vote for the BNP either.
So be it.

3) a clever political leader has to find the electioneering arguments that will win the public around. So Corbyn could have dropped any reference to socialism and just argued the one of his policies was renationalising railways - which is known to be popular, but is still honest to Corbyns ideology.
...but dishonest to everything else he believes.

All but ten Labour MPs were against brexit before the referendum then after it nearly all pretended they would go along with the result and ditch their primary duty of doing what they believe to be best for the country.
Dishonest.

You are suggesting that the Green Party ditch their green policies because not enough people voted for them.

You certainly spend a lot of your time digging around for dirt on one political party, for someone who claims to have no interest in politics.

I have no interest in political parties

It sure looks that way. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
You must be a duck that walks and sounds like a panda, because you sure ain't what you claim to be.

panda

What ethnicity have you adopted?
Have you adopted any of the characteristics of your newly acquired ethnicity?
Have you told anyone other than your virtual acquaintances, of your newly adopted ethnicity?
How will your acquaintances in real life perceive your newly adopted ethnicity?
