Going to lay a paved drive soon. Nothing special just two lines of slabs straight ahead and two coming off at a slight angle as we have two cars. The slabs l have are only 38mm thick. Therefore l plan to dig down around 200mm and lay a concrete base, under the four lines of slabs. Then sand on top of this and finally slabs. Does this sound reasonable, any tips?

No theyll crack up as the sand moves under the weight of the vehicles. Lay a well compacted MOT type 1 base and then mortar the slabs down on top of that on a full mortar bed, NOT 5 spots!
