Light Switch Near Sink

Is there a regulation/requirement for distance of light switch in a kitchen away horizontally/vertically from the endge of a sinbk or draining board?

I wouldnt see the point of any switch or socket directly above a sink. leave it clear.

what if no room to have full 300mm clearance? as long as not directly above and 180mm away would that do?

180 na ban all sheds is right ip rated , it does come under a reg but Part P of the building regs the distances are indicated in the building regs this applies to sockets cookers hobs sinks all are 300mm away so im afraid its ip rated you need
