M6 toll road

As anybody else noticed, that as you approach the M6 toll section, the matrix signs always say breakdown/roadworks/accident/delays etc, on the M6, whereas the toll road always says clear.

Invariably there are no such problems.

Does anybody know if the gov gets a slice of the action or what? because these signs do appear to be like this on purpose.

Haven't noticed that one.

However, I have pondered on this: When does the balance shift so that the levels of traffic on the toll mean that the M6 is relatively clear? ie people who have no intention of using the toll will have their journey eased by those who do?

SS have a look next time your there, it can be anything upto 2 or 3 junctions before the toll.
