Hi Guys
Anyone have experiance of the Magnaclean filter, does it really work and can you use it with a combi system??
Cheers

Fitted a magnaclean following heavy recommendations on this site by Paul Barker. Have a combi system at present, which I thought I kept fairly clean. Wrong!

After fitting the magnaclean and leaving for a week, I opened the unit up to reveal what I can only describe as a black soft ice cream wrapped around the magnetic rod. Subsequent inspections have been much less dramatic, but reveal that, once the worst has been removed, the Magnaclean continues to keep the system clean.

Also, adding inhibitor etc is now so easy via the Magnaclean - no more fiddling with bleed screws etc.

I got mine for about £80 and feel it was money well spent.

Agile will shortly respond to tell me off for having a dirty system in the first place - guilty as charged, Tony!

You been at the thesaurus again, Kev? :D

I'm starting to suspect that U are not worth discussing things with. Agile is one of the smartest people on here. I'd take his advise over most. :P
And yes Magnaclean are the dog boloxs. Fit one now!

If yes answered YES to these questions, then you are, without a doubt, a PITA!

or Water Systems !

On Screwfix his knowledge of condensing boilers was about 2 out of 10. He was shouting the virtues of boilers with recouperators (quoted from sales blurb virtually word for word) saying they were better than one piece heat exchanger and pre-mix burner models. Anyone knowing about boilers would just laugh. This is what he said "I do have to say that I view the hybrid boilers with a recouperator as potentially the most reliable condensing boilers." I know you just about picking yourself up from the floor by now.

He literally didn’t have clue. It was hilarious. It proves that changing fan motors does not prove you know it works.

..and he fixes these all day?

Well said Chris. If you follow the Screwfix Forum you'll know that Water Systems is a PITA.

That mean brighter than you. Those who come for help get it.
