I have a leak somewhere between the main supply water meter and the inside stop tap.
Thames water have come round and said that as it's possibly a pin hole leak it'll be about 2 weeks before someone comes out and digs down to the boundary line to see if the fault is by the meter (I hope it is).
The experts told me it's fine to leave the leak in place and keep the water flowing, just in case it's under my house I want to turn off the main supply each day.
The water meter has a blue plastic key already fitted but to turn it I have to use a spanner to turn the plastic key - and that piece of plastic is going to break after daily use and it's over half a meter underground.
To cut a long story short I went to ToolStation and bought a Monument Multi Purpose Stop Cock Key, but it doesn't even engage with valve. I also have a square tool but it too doesn't fit.

Does any one know of the correct tool to operate the valve from Screwfix/Toolstation/Wickes/B&Q as I'd want to buy it tomorrow?
Many thanks!
