Trump the ECGR, like Trump did hwith US laws he didn't like. He invoked article 2 of the Constitution, and the National Emergencies Act of 1976 which enabled him to deckare a national emergency and activate certain powers.

It's not a difficul argument to declare national security above someone's HR.
And uncertain powers, in TRump's case.
Humans Rights act was incorporated 1998. Change our bloody mind. We left the EU, it didn't suit us. (allegedly). Leave compliance with the act, whatever that takes. ie Rescind it, OUTcorporate it, because it's demonstrably not right. Blair got a few things wrong....
If you're scared of that, then limit its scope to British citizens. It's nonsense to say we have to afford the same rights to the rest of the world as we do to our own.

If that would be the case then slavery would never have been abolished.

BUt they shouldn't get the same rights, especially after they've broken the laws of the country where they're claiming them.
That is certainly the popular perception. But so far, when we've discussed the real details, our system doesn't seem that much different to France.
