Don't eat mince. I've told you what it's made of.

Having been a food scientist in a previous existence, if you knew what was in anything, you'd not eat it...

Sausages, meat pies, burgers etc... are made from MRM slurry. This is any bit of the animal that include, skin, feathers, cartelidge gristle, hoof, snout, ear, udder, tail, lights (noo, not tail-lights!!) and other choice cuts.

When a label says " XX% meat ", "Meat" can be any of the above, including oddly enough, bone. Ground bone features in many products.

And, in cooked meats & bacon, look for added water. Manufacturers do not have to declare up to 10% added water. Any more, they have to.

When I was eating meat, I once bought a pack of bacon from a mainstream supermarket. The ingredients (don't forget by law they are listed in order, largest first) were "Water, Pork, Sodium Nitrite...etc"
