I didn't know Marx wrote about rights of minority groups. Was he protesting about Pogroms?

Did you see it in a pamphlet, or in one of his books in your collection?

First we have BLM now I read about Minority Matters.

What is it with these people Is it all about Minorities? What about the rest of our children.

With which bit do you have an issue:
We foster social inclusion and encourage community cohesion.

We empower young people to improve their own position by building confidence and a positive self-image

We focus on safeguarding of children in minority communities.

Minority Matters is a charity that started in 2010 to provide children and young people educational support. Our purpose was to ensure that children from disadvantaged backgrounds were succeeding academically, so that they could break the cycle of poverty.
Is it the focus on "minority communities" that concerns you?
Or perhaps it's "disadvantaged backgrounds" that makes you feel threatened?
Are you worried that your children are not getting the same level of support that disadvantaged children are getting?
Do you understand the basis of charity: support them if you want to, don't if you don't want to.

Why not discuss your concerns with them, they are open to discussion, instead of trying to whip up hatred and division on a DIY forum. Perhaps you want to oppose their aims?
We want community members to be talking to each other and to the police and local authorities. This will ensure an open an honest exchange of ideas and ensure that they get the most out of our projects.

I think the best thing we can do for children is to allow them to be children until they are nearing adulthood.
Far too many children are denied the pleasures and experiences us older ones took for granted. These days they are being encouraged, almost from birth, to try harder, do better, stop playing games you have study to do etc. They do not 'play out' in the street or the park with their mates. They are virtually glued to their electronic devices as though it is their umbilical cord to existence. We climbed tress, played cowboys and Indians, hide & seek, marbles and a whole host of other multi-player/team games which also exercised our minds and bodies. We didn't need gym's or personal trainers alongside all these supposed 'Energy drinks' which are nothing short of concentrated caffeine. We ate what we were given, which was usually good wholesome food, not mass produced process garbage they manufacture these days. From our playing, and with no pressure to 'grow up' until we were at least 13-14 we learnt valuable practical lessons in life. If you fell off a wall and hurt yourself you simply got up and carried on, (it didn't look good to cry in front of your mates), if you fell in the pond/stream in the park you got laughed at and then usually laughed along with your mates. You weren't rushed off to A&E for a tetanus jab while your parents were phoning for a claims lawyer.
Obviously we should look out for, and help, those less fortunate or vulnerable but I think it's time we got back to looking at the bigger picture and stop pushing the majority below the minority when caring about others.

Ive already emailed them.

Why not discuss your concerns with them,

This is what I wrote

Hello

I learned of your organization while reading an article about county lines drug trafficking.

My eldest girl will be starting Big school in september. I worry about her, as much as you worry about your children.

We are white British, from a working class town, Im not rich but don't have too many money worries.
But struggle from time to time. My Children are lucky enough to have loving parents that are still together.

Why do you have to call your organisation minority matters. What about my children do they not matter? I see the drug dealers around our town.
They are a threat to my children as well.

Why do you have to divide as. why cant you call your organisation Children matter.

I agree with everything you stand for and want to achieve (from what I have read), apart from you seem to discriminate against Children who are not a minority.

Regards Full name

This is the article that come up on my phone.
It's scary , very scary. Hence how I learned about minority matters

Revealed: the gangs kidnapping children and forcing them to sell drugs

Why don't you offer to give a talk to their target audience as part of their current campaign? I suspect they'll appreciate all the help they can get:
Stop Loopholes & Save Our Children & Young People From Grooming, Knife-attacks & Criminal Exploitation!
Obviously we should look out for, and help, those less fortunate or vulnerable but I think it's time we got back to looking at the bigger picture and stop pushing the majority below the minority when caring about others.
There's never any risk of the minority being above the majority. This comment of your smacks of fear of you losing your advantaged position.
Or did you really mean we shouldn't seek to help the disadvantaged? Let's stop feeding the hungry as well? Why don't we just let people be people, for better or worse? There was never any problems in my day!

From the artical

There’s a misconception [about] single parents, broken homes – that probably family members naturally engage in criminal activity which causes their children to face a heightened risk of being groomed. But we weren’t a broken family. My husband and I both worked, were homeowners, were educated and so were my kids. This is happening to kids from all different backgrounds.”

Slow day at work Bobby or are just being your usual antagonistic self?
You will notice there are no gaps between the lines of text I typed, so it's pointless trying to read what has not been put there.
In case you can't figure out that comment, it means stop trying to read between the lines, because there is nothing to read. It's all in your head.
