Moving an ashlar stud wall in loft conversion

I have an existing stud wall as part of a historic loft conversion. The plan is to move it back to increase the room space, insulate and turn it into cupboards rather than loft space. As far as I can tell this wouldn’t require planning or building control. Is this the case?

No planning permission as long as its not listed.
Building Regs only required if the studwork is supporting anything, such as the roof rafters.

After poking around a bit, it is built on top of an RSJ. However, there’s no purlin involved. There are uprights between the rafters and the RSJ. I think the RSJ is there to support the floor more than the rafters and stud wall. We’ll be stripping it back further so will see before anything is changed. Likelihood is now I’ll leave it in place and board out loft space as it is.

Stud wall possibly supports the rafters which allowed the original purlin to be removed when the loft conversion was done. I’d investigate properly before you do anything to the wall
