Moving keypad for Texecom Veritas R8

Certainly it didn't sound for MY Veritas R8.

But if you want a trial run before you commit by disconnecting the keypad, then perhaps simply removing the control panel lid, not keying in the code, and letting the tamper alarm sound for THAT for a few minutes will reassure you that only the internal bell will sound, even after 5 minutes.

Well it went to plan. In this order.

Power off.
Disabled tamper, when control panel cover removed by entering my code. Removed fuse in main alarm box F4 or as in my case not labeled as f4 just as 'control pad'.
Made note of connections and wire colours (phone pic)
Disconnected all four cables red, yellow, red and black.
Pulled cable through cavity and reconnected in new location.
Reconnected cables to control pad as per earlier photo
Put fuse back in main alarm box.
Put cover on main box.
put cover on control pad.
Power on.
Pressed reset on control pad.

Internal bell only sounded when removing control panel cover, until I entered code. Then no other alarms sounded through whole process including the one outside. No need to disconnect any battery's or use any engineer codes.

All good !

Thanks all for the help.[/list]
