I believe that the UK, as an active, committed and constructive member of the EU, is capable of being a significant and leading partner, and helping the Union to work for the benefits of its members and the world.

Unfortunately some of the Brextremists don't believe in Britain's capability.

Obviously we need to rid ourselves of whinging liars like Buffoon and the former editor of the Wail, and to view the other members as partners, not as enemies.

It would be too big a leap for some old Quitters, but in time we'll manage without them.

    Not just them.

Look again, there are 6 people on the top deck, not 2, plus at least one down below. Although to be fair he may be trying to climb out of the window. And one of those on the top deck could be dead.

Although I confess to being mystified by this:

    upload_2018-12-7_0-26-22.png

The people voted to leave and the Government is delivering leave. Not sure what they want delivered if they are now saying they don't want what they voted for.

    It doesn't.

    It just said "Leave".

    We are leaving.

No form of leaving was on the ballot paper, no choices between forms of leaving were offered to vote on, therefore any form of leaving is what people who voted to leave voted for.

How hard is that for you to understand?

What data have you seen that conflates not wanting the deal on the table with not wanting brexit at all?

Yougov polls suggest the usual shift in opinion similar to movement over the last 10 years but nothing to suggest brexiteers by and large don't want brexit. It's the deal they don't want.

    There are three options.

Pretty well everybody says "no-deal would be the worst possible option."

May is unable to answer the question "In what way is your deal better than staying in the EU?"

The Quitters have been saying "May's deal would be worse than staying in the EU." So have the Remainers.

Perhaps they are telling the truth.

Most people say "there is no other deal on the table" although some are fantasising (far too late) about Norway, having ignored it for years.

Which would you choose? The worst-possible option; the bad deal, or the one that isn't as bad as the others?
