Nephology

cumulonimbus clouds (usually look like a nuclear mushroom cloud) - almost always means it's about to rain. If they appear heavy and dark then you can be due a squall (temp drop, sometimes sleet and rapid increase in wind). Cumulus (little fluffy balls) over land in a clear sky indicate a sea breeze building.

Colder Early Winter in Europe could worsen cost of living crisis, say forecasters...

The European Center for Medium Range Weather Forecasts say Europe is likely to experience a colder, drier early winter due to La Nina weather patterns - although this may lead to a milder mid-winter... the colder temperatures would increase reliance on gas, [while milder temperatures] would reduce contributions of wind and hydro-electric power, although solar power would increase.
Taken as a whole, it could end up as a milder winter on average - but at this stage it's an unpredictable forecast and best keep a weather eye on events throughout November.

Or, you could simply watch what Old Crow is up to in the treetops:mrgreen:
