Come on guys, there must be some out there. I was at a friends house and in the kitchen she had two twin fluorescent fittings with curved decorative shades. Only about 3 foot long, but they were nice fittings and gave plenty of light. Searching online reveals only CFL/PLC type fittings. I'm after proper tubes that come to full brightness nearly straight away!

Hi Steve,

don't know much about the place but have you tried Mondial in Horsforth?

There is also another place in the manningham area of Bradford, but cannot recall its name

Get yourself a Thorn and Fitzgerald catalouge. There is a huge range. The wholesalers only stock the bogs.

Mother dont want no 6' pop pack. There must be something out there.

For info, the fixture I saw looks like this:

The shade curves only in the long axis.

Didnt you ever hear of Google :?: . Very handy.
I found this for Thorn: http://www.lightingdirectory.com/company/id/96
It took 0.00000001 of a second

Try and see if you can find Fitzgerald on your own.
Let your fingers do the walking..
oops, I read it as "Thorn and Fitzgerald" rather than "Thorn" and "Fitzgerald" hence why i couldnt find it! useful places to know about though, thanks.
