You have got to love alarm engineers.
Like the alarm cable tied to the flex - I hope it is the correct compartment in the dado.
The alarm guys, if they are going to install a spur, usually stick one above the dado as they don't seem to have the nouse to fit a new box in to the dada!

This was to supply a Kronos clocking in terminal in another room. 2.5mm² T&E supplied another FCU above the terminal, where I'm guessing the rest of this black flex takes over into the terminal (for some reason at that end they recessed the cables into the wall - metal stud walls throughout)
