No Earths in House Sockets

Yet another 'electrician' who does not know how to properly complete an EICR.

I personally wouldn't trust what that paperwork says.

I am not sure how much to trust it though,
I wouldn't trust it at all.

A few obvious problems:
Earthing arrangements - TN-C box is ticked.
All of the boxes in 'main protective conductors' have a mark in them - including gas, water, oil, structural steel, lightning conductors, other.
'Replace metal fittings & switches in property to reduce risks of shock' - why?
Protective devices listed as 60898, however OP states the 'consumer box looks pretty old' so doubtful it would be those. Perhaps it's Wylex plug in efforts, but they don't have a 6kA breaking capacity.
CPCs listed as 1.5 and 1.0, neither of which is applicable if conduit has been used.
Ref method C is not correct for conduit.
Sockets must be a ring given the protective device and cable size, yet no test results for ring continuity.
L-E insulation test not done - why?
Apparently a single RCD for both circuits, yet main switch is a 2 pole isolator?

Looking at the certificate you also need to be aware you have a radial socket circuit on 2.5mm T&E protected by a 32Amp MCB - no Ring final circuit tests. Given the size of the cable this should be protected by a 20Amp MCB.
The fact that the metal switches were changed for plastic ones also suggest that the lighting may not be earthed either - although the testing suggests otherwise.
The certificate states you have RCD protection do you?
Smells a bit!!

The sockets radial circuit also appears to have a R1R2 value of 0.02, so not very long...

Perhaps we are looking at an additional board that supplies a socket just below the mains position and a nearby light? And no not have a schedule for the Older board?

I will get an electrician round to make sure Im not being an idiot - better safe than sorry.

Could anybody recommend any skirting trunking that they use if I do require a rewire though.

Thank you in advance for helping me - much appreciated :D

If u have conduit you shouldn't need surface trunking.

So the paperwork was filled in for a different property!

'Replace metal fittings & switches in property to reduce risks of shock' - why?

I wondered about that too.

I'm going to guess that the lighting circuits do not actually have any earth, hence the C2 comment. But the EICR says there is a cpc of 1.0mm²

Probably the socket circuit is earthed through metal conduit but the EICR says there is a cpc of 1.5mm²

That EICR appears to be a a work of fiction.

You shouldn't need skirting trunking. :D

If you do have conduit, all new wiring can be pulled through, with an additional earth wire I would expect.

That is the beauty of round conduit.
