Seems I have been counting my chickens a little early.

Obviously I don't want to be seen as harassing an old man so will bide my time and continue down the council route.

I do intend to confine any DIY jobs to a Sunday afternoon though as I have more time.

Introduce him to DIYNOT and make him read the 'combustion Chamber'. The old Get might just die of boredom.
