Notice theres a new cable about, seems to be only FP type at the moment.
You still strip the outer sheath, but do NOT strip the inner core, you slide the insulation back, tighten terminal then let go, thus no copper showing.
Wonder if it will catch on to swa and T+E, though I expect the springy properties of the insulation may only work with FP style insulation

Similar, this stuff slides back about an inch, then springs back, the old stuff just bunches up or splits
Neweys seem to have it on display

Interesting. I’ve never pulled back FP that far but have always found it seems to naturally leave about 3mm of copper showing anyway and you can often push it back enough for the tiny little terminals in most fire systems.

We don’t use Neweys so I’ll have to keep an eye out
