Oh the irony

.........you can't deny that rapidly and artificially changing the climate is a bad thing..............

Are you implying that any real or supposed change in world temperatures has been proved to be the result of human activity?

How do you explain the previous cycles of temperatures over millions of years compared to the present one when the predictions from the graphs seem to fit very closely.

PS don't worry about wine bottles, they are crushed and used for road surfacing, so that with the governments current road building program it will be easier to get your SUV to the newly built or expanded airports in order to use yet more fuel, all courtesy of wine drinkers.

Now where's my petrol strimmer?

Just watched the BBC news. Reports of hurricanes and tropical storms in the States, followed by shots of massive queues for petrol.

Are these storms related to global warming or not?
There seems to be vigorous arguments on both sides.

More fierce and more often than they used to be.

I wonder what's changed

Not sure if hurricanes are directly caused by global warming...
The severity and increased likelihood in addition to larger areas affected are attributed to global warming...

Warmer temperatures means air moisture content is increased and sea water temperatures also rise...

Thus more violent storms!

Adam may have changed his mind since he posted that. (y)

Newsflash. The world has been getting warmer since the end of the last ice age.

"Recent estimates of the increase in global average temperature since the end of the last ice age are 4 to 5 °C (7 to 9 °F). That change occurred over a period of about 7,000 years, starting 18,000 years ago. CO2 has risen more than 40% in just the past 200 years, much of this since the 1970s, contributing to human alteration of the planet’s energy budget that has so far warmed Earth by about 1 °C (1.8 °F). If the rise in CO2 continues unchecked, warming of the same magnitude as the increase out of the ice age can be expected by the end of this century or soon after. This speed of warming is more than ten times that at the end of an ice age, the fastest known natural sustained change on a global scale"

But hey, you keep your head buried in the sand and ignore the scientific data...

Or anywhere else you prefer to keep your head ;)
