I've never heard of a baritone guitar. A few years ago at a concert at the RNCM I saw someone play an octave guitar, this was a huge-bodied acoustic with the strings tuned very low. Looked like a Mariachi band guitar.Just bought myself a gorgeous baritone guitar from Hawaii , it arrives tomorrow. I am so excited

I have seen the gibson one before, never played one but I was in the pub last week and a young girl had a baritone, she was with her parents and when I saw it I thought, I need to have a go with that. She was learning to play it and so couldnt change chords or had any real knowledge of what she had. I played it for her and OMG the sound is the best acoustic sound I have heard. I did a few numbers of the Beatles on it, the pub went up and everyone started singing. I had to have one and so searched out the best and found one. I now am the proud owner of the most amazing looking baritone and cant stop playing it.I've never heard of a baritone guitar. There is also a tenor guitar, which has 4 strings and is sometimes confused with a ukulele. Gibson made an electric SG-shaped tenor guitar and they are extremely rare and valuable. See one here...
