Also, I have had one semi-serious quote so far but the guy has quoted £1330+VAT for a boiler (Vaillant EcoTEC Plus 438) where I could get it myself for £980 +VAT.

I could arrange to install one for you, for the all-inclusive price of one million pounds.

More seriously folks - the only reason i am investigating this stuff is that i'm finding it impossible to get anyone to give me a quote for the work I need doing.

Either they don't show or they do and then i never hear from them again

I'm reduced to asking BG for a quote (Monday!) and I already know what you guys think about that
