pen or pencil for drawings

if doing drawing by hand for a building warrant, should i use a pen or pencil, what do architects use,

CAD usually, but either pen or pencil should be ok. Proper hand drawn drawings are drawn up in pencil and then overrun with ink.

I used to use blue lead as it doesn't show up on the old dyeline prints, ahh, takes me back!

Doesnt really matter so long as its clear.. either way only send in photo copies and keep originals

Not half as much fun drawing on linen using caliper (pre Rotring) ink pens!

done ours in pencil til satisfied correct then used fine line pens to overdraw
