Peugeot expert van fault code 4700

Hi, can anyone help identify this fault code?
4700
Van is 1868cc non turbo diesel on 2003 reg
i'm not sure if it's the battery at fault or the charging system and can't afford to buy a battery if that's not the problem.
any help appreciated.thanks

Some symptoms would help, but if you have a multimeter handy, here goes:
With the engine running at a fast tickover, put the meter across the battery and expect to see around 14.4 volts DC.
Put the headlamps and other accessories on, and this reading shouldn't drop below 13.8v at any time.
With the engine cold, connect the meter and attempt to start up. If the reading goes below 10v its likely the battery is goosed.
Any motor factor will be happy to put a heavy discharge device across the battery to confirm its condition. They'll be even happier to sell you a new one!
