Well folks, it's that time of the week again!


I found this joint on a length of T&E sat on a flat roof.

It is not fixed and has been rubbing on the coping stones presumably as the wind blows it.

It was used to supply some christmas lights in a big tree. The lights had been disconnected for the non festive seasons.

I'm not sure what purpose the the joint serves.

There are now 2 nice shiny new RCD protected commandos to supply the tree etc. :D
 
Maybe the joint was there, as some cut through the cable once, so it was not long anough to reach to the tree any more, so they had to join on a new piece of cable.

RF, what type of cable now supplys the two new commandos :?:
 
They are fed in 2.5mm² T&E, but it is now run round internally in PVC mini trunking.

There is no cabling on show externally.
 
i can see the problem, no carrier bag taped around the joint! :lol:
