I know you are not meant to bond to lead,,, but the incoming flexi pipe - that's just ridiculous :shock: :shock:

I thought they'd bonded to the handle first look.. :roll: :roll:
 
Far more worrying to me than the bonding is the way that lead pipe is kinked.......
 
I've never seen a lead gas pipe. Was this done much? I thought it all used to be cast iron, then copper.

lots of lead round here..

usually from the iron supply pipe to the meter.. they didn't like / have the "anaconda" pipes back then..
interestingly, my lead is also kinked.. don't think they knew what a bending spring was...

It should be made to the consumer's hard metal pipework.

I may put it between the nut and the start of the lead pipe.

If that's not possible, then a plate can be fitted to the meter to which the PEB can then be attached.
