pipework configuration

Hi to all who read
Hoping i may get a few answers to my questions.

I am currently having my renovatied house first fixed domestic , and central heating, weve brought everything back to the ceiling void above were my gas boiler (not sure what boiler i am gong to have at this stage) will be mounted. the plumber who is a retired but steady eddie, as asked me to find out is there a generic layout for connecting to boiler ?? we have all options open th do any pipe crossing in the ceinling void and want to come down the wall in the right and most sensible configuration!! The gas supply, and the boiler fitting will be done by gas safe plumber at the point in the future (i am a slow burn renovater)when required.

Hopefully some good people here may offer advice.

Will this boiler be a combi or a heat only? Heat only is usually associated with a HW cylinder. Many boilers allow flow and return connections from either above or below. Knowing your boiler would help. Can't be much more specific than that at this stage, but it's a start.

Most combi's (vokera being an exception) use a standard 5 pipe layout from left to right as flow/hot/gas/cold/return,
PRV and condense vary dependent upon manufacturer and heat exchanger design.
