Disgraceful it's about time the sentencing for life should mean life.
This crime is only forgivable by God. Should the interview take place soon, I shan't complain.
He was convicted of Rape and Murder of each which should carry four different sentences.

On one condition that should the jury later found to be wrong they also face the same punishment.

If the Government don't like a law, they have the power to change it.
However this government just tries to ignore laws.
You cannot blame a judge who follows the rules, or one who post sentence agrees a release within the rules - they uphold the Law, they don't make them

yes I will go with that , as there are many were there is absolutely no doubt as to there guilt , if there is any doubt than they would not be executed

You could say that about any emotive murder. I don't doubt that Rose West was guilty but she has never admitted guilt and was convicted on circumstantial evidence.

Later proved to be elsewhere, police ignored his alibi
evidence given by teenage girls who later admitted that it was "for a laugh"
His admission was due to pressure
he had the mental age of 12 and was physically unable to have carried out the acts claimed
17 years in jail and died 20 months after it was proved that the police and witnesses lied.
Problem is that you can never be sure of absolute guilt and death penalties sometimes provoke more killings as "better hung for a sheep than a lamb"

And letting the state choose to become the executioner does not prevent the crimes we are talking about...
Just look at the countries with the death penalty...
And I bet those baying for it wouldn't execute a person themselves when it came down to it!
However if they did it would make them just as much a savage as the person who committed the crime!
