Plug Socket Question

I have purchased MK Logic Plus sockets for my house.
All sockets are being replaced as and when I finish decorating rooms.

My question is and it may be silly: From screwfix why do the MK double sockets have one earth point in the centre but the MK single sockets have two earth points one either end?

Is there any technical advantage to having the two earth terminals?

Do MK actually do a logic plus double with 2 earth points?

Many Thanks

Look on MK's website-all their products are available on there to view.

From a technical point of view, 2 earth terminals on one socket outlet is required for circuits that require high integrity earthing. HIE is required where a protective conductor current is expected to be over 10mA.

This isnt something you need to worry about in the average domestic setup though.

MK logic plus sockets are available with the dual earth terminals, but they are more expensive, and not usually required in a domestic environmet, so are not generally available in the DIY sheds.
