I have seen a new kitchen install today.
32A 6mm² ex-cooker circuit feeding a double socket, then on to two further points in 2.5.
Sockets less than 300mm from the cooker.
JB's under a floor not accessible from underneath (no crawl space) and being tiled over (having had hardboard laid on top of the boards).
Sockets fitted for fridge, gas cooker & d/w that are behind the appliance. Cooker & d/w have no isolation above the tops.
Joints in flex for cooker hood done in choc blocks wrapped in duck tape, left lying loose on wall unit tops.
No LABC notification and absolutely no paperwork.
Strangely, however, the installation was inspected and "passed" by an NICEIC electrician.
