Since when has the term" economic migrant" been considered a pejorative.
An economic migrant to me is someone who migrates to another country to work.
The issue that concerns the public isn't about economic migrants as such, it is about those economic migrants who enter the country illegally.

If refugees are considered real refugees, then they should be allowed to work until it is safe enough for them to return to their home countries.

In this era of COVID and terrorism, people are coming through unchecked! We must have the most laughable border force / laws in the world.

They don't need to come to the UK to be refugees.
There are plenty of other states on the borders of their home countries where they could claim refugee status, but by choosing to travel 1000's of miles to the UK, they make themselves economic migrants.
