Private Number Plates

I drove up the Uxbridge Road today and saw a plate 'MR SONNY'. There was something suspect about the 'S' but it was an S, can't be legal surely.

As an aside Mottie, that there Lakeside car park is a mother.

Indeed, but it's the O that bothers me; there isn't going to be a 50 plate for another 27 years.

If it was a black BMW, blue BMW or white MERC it could be MR56NNY, MR53NNY or MR55NNY respectively, heavily modified (or just outright using the wrong characters because the owner doesn't give a ..)

No it was a Tesla, defintely started MR, only the 5 or S looked a little suspect.

A yellow (or white) screw cap in a certain place would do it!

There won't be a 50 plate, at least not in the current format.

The current format will stop at 49/ 99.

That's the limitation of a two-digit age identifier!

Using the existing convention, that would make it a 2000/ early 2001 vehicle.
