Rcd or not

A small job of extending a ring main in an industrial canteen to include 1x socket.
Surface mounted earthed galv conduit ocpd 3036 no rcd insight.
RCD the circuit at source or just use an SRCD?

Either is acceptable, it is up to you and the customer to decide. Personally I'd lean towards doing the whole circuit.
