Unfortunately, I have not managed to glean any new pictures of interesting electrical installations. So, for my second and final week sitting in the POW! hotseat, I am posting a picture of a situation I came across a good while ago.

NOw the pic quality aint that great but.....................

It looks as if there has been some burning / arcing going off

And laying down on top of that bottom cpc is it a slug or a snail.

Lovely pointing on the wall BTW

THoes slugs are right buggers, they get in via the smallest of holes/cracks.

I hope you launched it into outer space...

As you can see, the socket is a stadard fitting in a rather damp shed built onto the back of a garage.

The pattress had 5 or 6 slugs living in it, along with loads of slime & slug sh*t.

That's what was tripping the RCD....

Speak of the devil...were your ears burning??

Hope you had a good 'un.

That reminds me of an alarm engineer I know.

He was cauled out to a fault on a system. It kept going off or something.

Anyway, he turned up on site and went to the main panel. On removing the cover, he was greeted by a mouse nesting on the nice warm transformer

I'm sure Lectrician will post his photo of a mouse in a panel board shortly...

Hey,

Got called out to a faulty cooker a while ago that tripped the MCB and RCD, disconnected the cooker resumed the power and stripped it down to find a dead mouse across the Live, Netrual and Earth terminals of the incoming 6mm^2 supply. I do have photos but cannot put my hands on them as it was a while ago.
