Remove 2 way light switch

I’d like to remove this two way switch from our bedroom.

We currently have this and another switch controlling a single ceiling rose.

How can I safely remove this switch so that the other switch controls the light?

Personally I would just disconnect the string.

That’s not a bad shout actually Andy! Dunno why I didn’t think of that! Will do that I reckon. Saves me faffing about repairing the ceiling afterwards
