Hello all, may not be in the right place BUT currently in process of moving house and have picked up the pieces from my partners dodgy ex who boarded loft and also (stupidly) started messing with roof trusses... now a survey has said it needs to put back to original state... had one quote of 30k.... is this the going rate? Any advice would be much appreciated. We are based just outside Weymouth, Uk if any local builders are near we would appreciate any help and advice.
Kind regards.

I have no idea was the 'going rate' is for stupid ex partners but you could get a whole new roof for £30k plus change.

The central struts removed and been a-lined ... isle of portland mate.

Sounds like they are suggesting you take the tiles off the roof, access the roof trusses, re-instate them, and then replace the roof, but as long as the roof hasn't dropped too much, then you should be able to sister new trusses alongside the original ones.

As always, get a few more quotes - and opinions.
