What the EU good guys, surely not.

Apparently Italy asked permission from the EU commission to block exports to Oz. The law the EU brought in means the EU member states have to consult them before placing blocks.
I doubt they'll mess with us again on that little matter though.

so perhaps will curry favour with other countries by diverting some of the spare ones.
