France and the UK have very similar population distribution. The fact that France has bigger gaps between its towns and cities than the UK is irrelevant.

What is relevant is how Covid effects the population as it is more to do with the people that make up its citizens (age, weight, ethnicity) rather than density, in any case.

The big supermarkets have the scales of economy to employ more staff to deal with the massive Brexit red tape without impacting prices massively.

The damage is appearing mostly in SMEs.

Oh and UK has been seeing considerable Foreign purchasing of businesses.....because they are getting them cheap. Yup Brexit is turning into a huge UKmasset stripping exercise.
