It's sad that your dog has been treaded badly in the past and this explains his behaviour towards visitors to your door. However, I think your letter should begin with an apology then proceed to outline your concerns instead of being confrontational.

it was not so long ago the post arrived before you awoke. I am told in some parts of the country this still happens.

I think that this is the most pertinent point you need to make. You have been asked to keep your dog inside until the posty has been. Some days that might be close to lunchtime :eek: That is an unnacceptable request.


Reassure them that you will do your utmost to provide training for your dog but point out that you can only assure them that you will contain your dog while your post is in the process of being delivered.
