Hi

I have a Scantronic 9800 alarm and need some help please

Whenever I arm the alarm on A, 13 is displayed on the keypad, when I then open and close the front door, the number 1 is displayed. However, it then displays 13 and the alarm then goes off displaying EF (exit fault) on the keypad

The other alarm settings B or C work fine.

The front door has a contact and is not using a PIR

Anyone ever seen 13 displayed (as its not a valid code in the alarm guide) or know how I can resolve this issue please?

If I do a walk test, it works fine on the Front Door so not sure if the contact is faulty or there is another issue somewhere

Really appreciate any help or advice on this

Post picture of keypad ....it may be a 9800+ ( 16 zones) so zone 13 would be a valid number

Thanks for the reply...picture of keypad attached

Your right , it could be a plus with an old keypad on it , I've never seen a plus with an old keypad on it so I can't comment ... only a picture of the alarm panel pcb would confirm if it a plus !

Thanks, I did try your suggestion, unfortunately it did not work.

The alarm goes off

This was working fine a few months ago, it only stopped working recently

Thanks sparkymarka, your comment re whether the alarm panel pcb was a plus helped me. It looks like somehow 13 was marked as a zone (even though it's not active) so I went into engineering mode and corrected it. The reason why your previous suggestion (to omit 13 when arming) did not work for me was 13 was not programmed as a omit allowed zone.

But wouldn't have been able to resolve without your suggestions so thanks again

You need to take a look in the panel and see if there is anything connected on 13 ( plug on 8 zone expander)
If not don't worry
Happy xmas
