SDS + or SDS Max ? Confused

Does anyone know if SDS + drill bits can be used in a SDS max Drill.

I have borrowed a SDS max Drill and want to buy a 50mm core but am unsure if a SDS + bit will fit.

no the shank's are different sizes

both 12mm dia drills

top one is sds+

bottom sds max

you can buy an adaptor to convert sds max to sds plus

why don't you just buy the core in SDS max? 50mm cores are available as max thick wall or plus thin wall.

I assume you are talking A TCT core & are not trying to run diamond on an sds plus adaptor?
