the big Hiyundais are great value for a big, comfortable car.
But almost nobody buys them. People who want a big luxury car want a Merc, or a Jag, or a beemer. The badge on the front is what sells them. Even Toyota have to pretend their luxury cars are made by a company called Lexus.
It's a bit obvious a Bummer 335d will be better than a Hyundai i30 . Costs twice as much if not more.
Is a Bummer a superior product? Or just clever marketing? Some people would eat dog poo if BMW sold it as chocolate. At least compare the i30 to a Bummer 116i.
But the C-Max now has perpendicular parking, so can be used in supermarket car parks - now that's amazing. The next generation will allow you to get out of the car, and then it will finish parking itself, and then drive it self out when you want to get back in, but there needs to be a change in the law before they can introduce that.
