Some people try and ignore the fact that it can be ingested in other ways and that it serves a very useful (analgesic) medicinal purpose. They'd rather just compare it to and lump it in with smoking, as exploring its usefulness seems to frighten the ignorant.

There is plenty of research to highlight the benefits of smoking to mental health - regular requirement to take breaks, strong social group, etc.

There is already a "mental health crisis" in this country. All this ill conceived Leftist ban will do is drive up the working well off on the "mental health" sick and benefits, supporitng an ever increasing pool of the elderly and economically inactive that would otherwise died happy and fulfilled with a pack of L&B in their pockets aged 65.

It's madness.
