Peabody apologises after resident lay dead for over two years in Peckham flat
Coroner says situation is ‘difficult to fathom in 2022’
Why?
How?
WTF?

I would have phoned the police as soon as I could smell the aroma. There's no mistaking that smell.

Who exactly is complaining that it was somebody else who didn't notice she'd died for all of that time.
I would dearly like to sit down & chat with them about their interactions with their own neighbours. We could start with "how do you think this is someone elses fault" & we could end up with "Do you actually know the persons name who lives 5'ft away from your home"?
That was my first thought when I heard of it. We've got the keys for four of our neighbours and their family contact numbers. If we hadn't seen them for a while, I’d either knock, go in or phone a family member. Last time I was sent over by Mrs Mottie to check on a neighbour, I had a pleasant surprise!Who exactly is complaining that it was somebody else who didn't notice she'd died for all of that time.

Was the telly still on?I recall a similar case some years back
Some lady died in her chair in front of the telley think she was there for 3 years ?? Afaik they made a film about it ?? She was in her 30s / 40s
No one missed her ? No bills were paid
No community charge
No work mates ??
Weird
Where the bills are paid by Direct Debit the "alarm" is unlikely to be raised until bank stop paying due to no funds left in the accountHence why the bills had not been paid
