There will be arguments against any option which prevents playing on. Sponsors and agents et al will expect their cut and the only people to be satisfied will be the legal profession.
The match review board (as used by football pools to determine results of void matches) could be another option.
Toss of a coin is already an accepted means of determining a result.

My sympathies lie with the lower leagues whose very existence are on the line, whilst the PL snowflakes argue over whether they should defer a small percentage of the multi miliion pound salaries.

Void it right now. No point trying to complete the rest of the season and risking more deaths. Bill Shankley once said ironically that football was more important than life in reality it isn’t.

Good job Liverpool are so far ahead. One less argument for the lawyers, whichever way the rest of it goes.

You either complete the season or void it completely. To complete it is taking on unnecessary risk.

Players will need to be isolated and tested 48 hours prior to a game. Some clubs are considering buying their own PCR machines to test, but that then leaves the clubs to self test...

It will require a mammoth task to organise tests, play in neutral venues, keep players from being infected.

New protocols to deal with injured players. Elite footballers have a higher risk of developing cardiomyopthaies and evidence is now growing that BAME people are more susceptible to being infected by the virus.

A venue is a venue no matter how much you dress it up and will have a gathering, currently prohibited in the present crisis. It’s ludicrous to think that we’re asking professionals to train alone and expect them to be at peak fitness for the “restart “, not only that your taking health professionals away from the Nhs to be at a sports event. Even in isolation you still have 22 professionals sweating, coughing, breathing and touching each other it’s just not going to happen there’s not one insurance company in the world that would sanction a game to go ahead. Claim, claim and more claims!

Let's say it starts up EPL Down to the old 4th division and Champions league.

You get youths out playing football with the argument if they can play then why can't we.
Two examples
Liverpool win the league for first time in 30 years.
Leeds promoted the PL after a 17 year absence. 2 well supported clubs with fanatical fans.

They will be in each others homes drinking and smoking. Then out on the streets celebrating their achievements.

Put the season on hold and carry on when it becomes safe to do so.

And if it carries on too long and impinges on next season, then regard the current season as 2019-2021.

Or if enough time allows pare down the original 2020-2021 season to a single game rather than home and away fixtures.

In neutral venues with a 50-50 allocation of tickets.

Not a fan of football really, so my opinion might be biased, but they should just all stop. Not a great example if footballers are still training and playing. Lots of money in the sport, but plenty of other businesses are suffering, why should they be able to continue?

It's ok to say Liverpool should be crowned champions, as they are so far ahead, chances of anyone catching them are almost nil, but what of the teams at the bottom, it's very tight down there (ooh err missus), any 3 of about 8 teams could go down.

Handing the title to Pool? What of relegation issues, promotion? CL positions?

It will be mired in legal issues as you do not have certainty.

I do like football Jon but I totally agree with you. Its wrong and I don't see no solution to play another game.
