Spotlights - please help

Hi.

We need to choose fire rated spotlights for our kitchen. Well they are both compliant to building regulations (with regards to fire rating).
So as far as best is concerned, what else are you looking for quality or price?
As I would prefer Aurora over LAP

Because we have an open kitchen and we think it is safer option

"Fire rated" only means that they have an intumescent seal, which in the event of a fire will stop smoke penetrating to the room above. Only really necessary if the room above is part of a separate dwelling. Otherwise they are no safer than non-fire-rated lights.

That does not answer the question.

And some people think they should have them because they think that's pretty much all there is and they do not think about the fact that the lights are designed to be no good at the job they want them to do.
