Sticking in a 300MW reactor on site instead of using one further away means you're effectively just looking at the transmission losses, not distribution losses which would be consistent. That's 1.7%.

Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen with up to 100 "modular nuclear reactors dotted around the country -- sounds way too much of an opportunity to miss for a terrorist to attack. I guess they will have to have armed guards protecting them just like the big ones.

The security industry and recruitment companies will be rubbing their hands together already. Having worked for in the energy sector including the UK’s current nuclear provider and the transmission company I do not believe this will ever happen.

But it makes a good headline for Labour whilst they try to wriggle out of the broken promises and blaming it all on the other lot.
